Studio City is the jewel of the San Fernando Valley, just a quick jaunt to Hollywood or a ride over the canyon to Beverly Hills and other west side destinations.

Studio city consists of several distinct  neighborhoods: Colfax Meadows, Footbridge Square, Fryman Estates, the “Donas” and Silver Triangle, just to name a few, each with unique character and charm.

What neighbors are saying

I’ve made Studio City my home for over 30 years and wouldn’t dream of leaving. It has everything you need right outside your door...great shopping, a weekend farmers market, a gorgeous mountain hike, gold, tennis, and neighborhood parks. It has the friendly atmosphere of a small village with the convenience of being in a large cosmopolitan city.

My favorite thing about my neighborhood in Studio City is walking over the bridge to Ventura Blvd and eating at one of the many great restaurants. It’s a wonderful walk - it’s fun to window shop and you don’t have to drive a car!

We live in the “West Donas” neighborhood of Studio CIty. We love the quiet, the cooler micro-climate, the flora and fauna, and the access to hiking. We used to live in the “bridge area” just north of Ventura, between Laurel Canyon and Whitsett. We loved the quiet, the real neighborhood feel, and being able to walk to all the shops and restaurants on Ventura and Ventura Place, as well as Weddington GOlf & Tennis, Beeman Park, the Studio City library, and the Sunday farmers market.

Studio City History

Studio City’s identity and movie industry heritage were the result of a confluence of events, most notably, film producer Mack Sennett’s decision to build a film studio. In 1927, the legendary producer pulled permits to construct Mack Sennett Studios on Radford Avenue, which today is known as CBS Studio Center.

Not surprisingly, many celebrities have made Studio City their home and it is not uncommon for residents or visitors to brush shoulders with some of Hollywood’s biggest names while dining or shopping on Ventura Boulevard.
