We’re Launching Our Student-Athlete Workshop Series. Register Today!
By Scott Morris
SRM is partnering with the Thrive in Joy Nick Fagnano Foundation to launch the Student-Athlete Character Workshop Series to offer free character and mindset development workshops to young athletes ages 13-18 in the San Fernando Valley.
Founders of Thrive in Joy, Mary and Jay Fagnano, presenting to travel team tournament athletes
The series consists of two workshops, one hour each. The first session focuses on identifying the unique character strengths of individual team members while identifying what traits the individual would like to develop. This workshop is designed to increase the student-athlete’s awareness of their own character strengths and how that contributes to their personal success and their team’s overall success.
The second one-hour session focuses on developing a growth mindset. This workshop is designed to increase the student-athlete’s awareness of their reactions to difficult situations and give them a new framework to approach challenges, so they can respond in a productive, supportive, and constructive way.
If you are interested in these workshops for your student-athlete, we invite you to forward this article to your player’s coach or team representative.
Coaches or team representatives can register their team here. For more information, please visit the Student-Athlete Character Workshop webpage.
