HOW WERE YOUR EXPERIENCES AS A CLIENT WITH SRM REAL ESTATE AND BOOST MORTGAGE?
Fantastic. The full experience has been over five years long. Scott helped me look into an apartment when I was moving to LA, we later worked together to purchase a house and get a loan, and he recently helped me with a refinance to get a better deal on my loan after interest rates dropped.
WHAT SURPRISED YOU MOST ABOUT SRM AND BOOST?
I come from the Bay Area where real estate is impersonal and impatient. SRM and Boost are the exact opposite. They look broadly at their client’s short-term and long term needs. They were the ones to reach out to me about refinancing my loan in order to help me save money. I wouldn’t have known about the opportunity if it weren’t for Scott and his team. I never understood how much being able to have a relationship with the person who helps you buy your home can make you feel comfortable - mentally and financially.
WHAT COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU THINK OF SRM REAL ESTATE AND BOOST MORTGAGE?
We’re really lucky down here in the valley to have them. I know they’ve been working really hard on outreach, impact, and nonprofit work. They’re creating a community in an area that can sometimes feel like a large, disconnected place.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE OTHERS TO KNOW ABOUT WORKING WITH SCOTT AND HIS TEAM?
Sometimes when working with other businesses, communication is convoluted and it creates stress and uncertainty. That doesn’t happen with Scott. Scott and his team make it kind of fun. They are easy-going and friendly, everything is straightforward, they answer all your questions, and make sure you really understand every step.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO DIRECT YOUR SRM DONATION TO LUNA DANCE INSTITUTE?
For children in separated families who have gone through challenges no child should ever have to face, dance and movement workshops are an extraordinary method for them to learn to communicate, to connect, and to bond with their family again. Instead of parent visits at McDonalds, Luna offers classes to families whose members are in prison or rehab centers so they can have a supportive environment to reconnect with their loved ones.
Luna has a host of programs incorporating dance into daily life. However, what amazes me most is their ability to form relationships with big organizations like governments, public schools, rehab facilities, and prisons and their ability to connect on an individual level with high-risk, mistrustful, and scared children and families in order to give them the support they need to heal.
