HOW WERE YOUR EXPERIENCES AS A CLIENT WITH SRM REAL ESTATE GROUP AND BOOST MORTGAGE?
It was very emotional for me to have to sell my house. It had been in my family since I was a teenager. My fear was that no one would care, and that a realtor would ask me to do so much to change my house that it would no longer feel like my home. Scott had my back 100%. He was so respectful and made me feel completely safe. I could really tell he had my best interest at heart. I never would have dreamt it could be this amazing of an experience.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE OTHERS TO KNOW ABOUT WORKING WITH SRM REAL ESTATE GROUP AND BOOST MORTGAGE?
Scott is positive, calm, and really cares about you. He is genuine and he backs it up with his actions. The fact that he donates a portion of his commission to a charity of my choice - it makes it that much more special.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO DIRECT YOUR SRM DONATION TO FOOD ON FOOT?
I have volunteered for Food on Foot for about 15 years. It is completely donation based. They do not receive government funding, so they have more room to be innovative in their approach. Their program is designed to give people who are homeless an incentives-based structure. When people who are homeless graduate from the program, Food on Foot will find them a job and help them get an apartment. They have an incredible success rate.
When you volunteer for them, they require you to bring a gift card or to be a monthly donor. It really helps bring committed people, reduce attrition, and makes sure that more money goes to the program instead of towards managing tons of volunteers.
The Founder, Jay, is incredible. He really took the idea of teaching a man to fish to heart. He has never missed a Sunday, and they’ve been doing this for over a thousand weeks. Their current motto is taking people who are a tax burden and turning them into tax payers. But Food on Food is ultimately about caring for everyone in our community and giving them the support they need to become strong community members themselves.
